Working with NRM has turned out to be a win-win-win for Tigers Express in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Through one solution, they’ve achieved noticeable reductions in operating runtimes and energy usage, and they’ve also received enhancements to their product display.
The first two benefits are a result of integrating NRM’s unique #refrigeration controls. These retrofit controls smartly operate the cooling cycles for only when cooling is actually necessary. For the month of March, for example, the systems only needed to run an average of 25% of the time, and the evaporator fans to run about 35% of the time to satisfy temperatures — as opposed to the usual 100% of the time.
This obviously leads to actual dollar savings on Tiger Express’ electric bill. Paired with the in-cooler lighting upgrades to more #energyefficient LEDs, they recoup about $4,000 every year in energy costs.
And speaking of those lighting upgrades, it’s the brighter LEDs that have made their products “pop” on the shelves in the drinks cooler now. They said customers have definitely noticed!
